I enjoyed knitting the yoke, all those different colours and about 10 days ago I finished it. Then I tried it on - it was ENORMOUS! The yoke was so deep that the arms started 1/2 way down my body, making the sleeves about 6" too long! So I unpicked half the yoke (quite therapeutic really), redesigned the pattern with a 1/3rd less rows and re-knitted it.
Last night I finished it for the second time. It's still a little bigger than I'd have ideally liked but at least it's wearable now.
It's nice and warm, which might be useful as we're due snow this week.
As you can see I had some additional help when measuring :-)
I was going to show you the self patterning sock yarn I've got, but I can't find it (ho hum, must tidy up properly)! But I am also thinking about another cardy - I have these wonderful colour samples from Holst Garn
and am trying to decide between these two patterns.

Yes! Lorelei is beautiful! Well, they both are but Lorelei is my favourite.
We are obviously not in the same knitting league; I'm very impressed with your ability!

I never mastered the art of patterned knitting so anything I do is very plain. I love your yoke cardigan that you knitted and am very envious of your ability.
It looks lovely and cosy. I've been knitting and unravelling too... a jacket that turned out far too big. I'm in the process of washing all the skeins of yarn before I can knit with it again.
Oh, how disappointing to find it doesn't fit after all that work, still, good on you for sorting it out, I think I'd have pulled the whole lot out. I like both the cardigans you're contemplating, can't wait to see which you decide on.
I think Lorelei would suit you (but I like Breckon for me) if I were you I'd spend hours and hours choosing a colour from those sample swatch cards!
Lovely lovely knitting, even if you did have to adjust it! I think Lorelei is pretty but I know I'd get more wear out of Breckon - in fact I'm going to look at it right now.
Well, it depends if it is for winter or summer wear. I like the one with the collar, but in summer, that might not be the better choice of the two. Sadly, my crafting days have almost had to come to an end, only small projects worked a little at a time now, which is unfortunate as I have a cardigan a third completed for my other half, a tapestry cushion cover/picture just started and fabrics for a quilt!
Great adjustment, it looks fab! I think the Lorelei has a more modern look to it, but I also have a fondness for Sloppy Joes too. :)
As always full of admiration for your making talents Su. I can never see myself reaching the knitted stage let alone unraveling. My vote goes for Lorelei which I think looks most stylish.
I think I prefer Breckon ... but both are nice. And Holst Garn yarns are among my favourites.
