Patty's Plum is one of my favourite oriental poppies and I love how a self sown euphorbia is nestling next to it, a perfect colour combination by pure chance!
The roses are just starting to open, this one is Lady Emma Hamilton and has a delicious fruity scent.
Even the plants in the densely shaded bed are doing well. Lots more self sowns here, all the aquilegias have arrived by themselves, as has the purple heuchera peeping through them. I generally leave self sowns, especially in areas like this that are difficult to find plants for.
More Patty's Plum dot their way through this bed on the way down to the pond.
And in the greenhouse the tomatoes are doing very well., some even have a few flower trusses on!
Cup of tea anyone?

Su - I am the one with two deleted comments!!!! The first I totally goofed up(early am here), the second the spelling police changed a few words and ignored my chosen words! Didn't spot it until too late.
Was trying to say - love your garden and your Patty's Plum poppy with the euphorbia cuddling up to it especially. Yes, I would love a cuppa in your lovely garden if only I wasn't here in New Zealand!! Table and chairs look very inviting.
What an absolutely beautiful garden - I love it when plants self seed as it means they are really happy there. I've never had much luck with oriental poppies but am always stunned by how pretty they are - never come across Patty's plum before! Thanks for the look around x Jane
You are quite a bit further ahead of us and your garden looks absolutely beautiful. What a wonderfully relaxing place to spend time.
Your garden is so pretty, I've paid very little attention to mine so far this year. But never the less I've been rewarded by the aquilegias they have self seeded all over the place and I'll leave them as they are giving a good show of colour . Hope to get out there and do a bit of gardening this weekend. Enjoy your tea in your lovely garden!
I too love Patty's Plum, it is also one of my husbands favourite. We have a few clumps of it and one clump is next to Heuchera 'Obsidian' which is almost black so really stands out.Lovely garden, I certainly will be back to see some more
What lovely views of your garden. You must be pleased to have such a wide variety of self sowns.
I too like self seeders - very useful! I've got lots of love-in-a-mist, poppies (but not as lovely as yours!), aquilegia, etc. Your garden looks lovely. I'll send you some rain! x
Everything looks wonderful, so far ahead of us here. My Irises have just started to open - they are usually over before now!
Hi Su, I'm a new follower. You have a very pretty garden and some gorgeous flowers.
Julie :o)
You really do have the most beautiful garden Su :)
Lovin' the look of your garden - it's a bit like mine with a controlled wild look about it. I love this time of year in the garden when there is something new to look at every day. Have a great weekend.
Coffee for me please Su :) Things are really racing along now and there seems something new to gaze upon and and wonder over each day. Patty and the euphorbia make a perfect combination.
