add a couple of weeks and
and you end up with a crumpled looking mess!
Now add a couple of days of severe blocking,
and voila, the crumpled mess turns into a lacy shawl.
It's very soft and pretty and I'm looking forward to wearing it on a lovely warm evening. Soon I hope :-)

Absolutely beautiful. It's amazing how blocking brings out the wonderful pattern. You must be so pleased with it, and we've just about got the weather for it at the moment too.
How lovely - you clever thing you. p.s. you have an admirer of your work - I was showing my neighbour my holiday snaps on the computer and she looked up and saw that picture I got from you. She was very impressed - in fact, she wasn't bothered about my snaps, and just kept studying your lovely picture. Just thought you would like to know.
Blocking is a minor miracle only recently discovered by me. I hope you get to wear your beautiful shawl soon too!
What a lovely, pretty shawl, you are clever :o)
That is incredibly beautiful!
It has turned out to be a fabulous shawl. Reminded me of my previous life, when I made things like that.
AhHa! Wondered where you'd been and this is what you've been up to! Time well spent cos it is just gorgeous - if I spot it on a summer's day I shall know it's you!! xCathy
