Nearly Narnia

Remember my favourite tree tunnel through Elveden Forest?  Today they were like something out of Narnia

beautiful, but not especially nice weather to drive in so I was quite relieved when the school I was heading to phoned to postpone our meeting.

Looking up it was possible to imagine Mr Tumnus arriving to greet me - but he didn't, and I'm now safely tucked up at home.  Hope you're all safe and warm

That looks so beautiful! Glad you are home, safe and warm.

It seems that there was a great deal of snow falling on Norfolk today, so I am pleased that you got home safely. The tunnel does look gorgeous.

Hello - your pictures show how enchanting a familiar countryside can look in this weather (although branches mingling overhead can always look wonderful) As you say, it's just getting about that's the problem..

Beautiful photos. How I love to see snow (from the comfort of my cosy room). We had a fair bit yesterday, but it's all but gone now.

Brrrrrrrrrrr - magical to look out upon but not much fun to travel in. Glad to hear that you got home safely Su and then could gaze at it with wonder.

Your tunnel is amazing in the snow. I bet you were relieved the meeting was postponed.

You have done well to capture the wintery feeling of your cathedral of trees.
