Strange Goings On With Tulips.

Something strange is happening with my tulips.  Mostly they have multiplied nicely since last year -

Doll's Minuet now has 16 blooms compared to the 8 it had last year:

These dark purple ones (unknown variety as I inherited them), have also multiplied:

As have these (also unknown varieties):

But this one has just appeared - it's never been there in previous years:

And my lovely Apricot Beauties which flowered so well last year have totally disappeared.  Very strange.

What a beautiful display. We planted some new ones last year, red and yellow stripy and white and green stripy, and one of these is a double header, which is something I have never seen before. Actually, I've never been all that bothered about tulips, now I can't get enough of them!

Lovely tulips Su. A lot of my tulips have degraded and disappeared this year.

Your clematis are lovely too.

Those crimson ones look lovely against the variegated white honesty and I hope the last white one multiplies and multiplies... and then I can have some too!x
