These crocuses in the front garden were planted before I bought the house,
I love the contrast of the purple and orange,
whereas these yellow ones were only planted last autumn and I really like the subtle yellow colour.
Clematis Freckles is still flowering away, although she's quite high up in the tree so I do have to remember to look up!
And there will be crumble for tea, but not for a few weeks yet I think!
Yesterday I sowed tomatoes in the heated propagator and tomorrow I will sow leeks and plant my shallots in pots. I'm experimenting with gardening by biodynamics this year so I couldn't sow the leeks at the same time as the tomatoes. It does seem to require pre-planning and organisation, which is where I may fall down, but at the moment it's my intention! I'll tell you more about it another time.
Oh, and I found my lost scissors, they were under the seed compost in the shed. 'Of course' I hear you cry, 'where else would they be?'!

Good luck with the bio-dynamic sowing, I tried it - once but kept forgetting about it.
Glad you found your lost scissors, it's annoying when things disappear; like my trowel about ten years ago, I think I planted it...
My crocuses seem to be in a terminal sulk this year. Oh well! Yours are lovely!
We planted by the moon one year when we had an allotment, I'm not sure if it made any difference though.

I'm not organised enough for biodynamic sowing, I think my seeds would still be in their packets at the end of the season if I tried it. The crocuses are lovely, I particularly like the yellow ones. Mine are refusing to flower this year.

Yes it's definitely tiptoeing towards spring. I'm in East Anglia this weekend so experienced the same hooley :) Good luck with the new sowing regime.
I agree, Spring is at last on the way. My quince has suddenly sprouted tiny bright green leaf buds, always a sure sign.
